DRU welcomes Mahmoud Keshavarz!

Mahmoud Keshavarz is welcomed as a new employee of the Design Research Unit of the Interactive Institute! Mahmoud
is a design researcher active in the field of politically-engaged
design. His recently completed his MFA in Experience Design from Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and
Design
. His thesis was
entitled 'Forms of Resistance', which
discusses the role of the designer in socio-political interventions. He started
working with the Interactive Institute during his master's thesis project, part of which was pursued in collaboration with Johan Redström, Ramia Mazé and Christina Zetterlund (Konstfack) through the 'Forms of
Sustainability'
project. Currently at the Design Research Unit from spring 2011, Mahmoud works on various
forms of staging such as critical and politically engaged discourses in design
actions.
