Young Energy II

What will happen if you turn off the electricity in a young person’s life? This move may not be necessary if you can find new ways of challenging young people to learn more about energy. In the research project Young Energy 2 we investigate how a game in a cellular phone connected to the household’s automatic meter reading can motivate teenagers to save energy. Our results points at measurable energy savings in the player’s households during the game period. In this project we have been cooperating with Smedjebackens Energi, Växjö Energi, Mälardalens högskola and Mobile Interaction. The project is funded by Energimyndigheten and our partners.
