RISE Interactive in Norrrköping (C Studio) has started a new research project with focus on Smart Environments based on IoT (Internet of Things). The project focuses on establishing a project is to create a new Centre of Excellence (CoE) in IT Science and Technology for the Internet of Things and Smart Living Systems, which will be referred to as “InnoITeam” in Lithuania.

The project focusing on establishing four strategic research and innovation (R&D) topics, namely:
• Topic 1: User interfacing and interaction design approaches for Smart Environments based on IoT;
• Topic 2: Cybersecurity aspects in the Smart Environments based on IoT;
• Topic 3: Data analysis and visualization approaches for data intensive IoT environments;
• Topic 4: Cognitive IoT technologies for Smart Home Environments.

Project is coordinated by Kaunas University of Technology, while other partners include: Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, The State Enterprise Centre of Registers in Lithuania, Linköping University and RISE Interactive. Furthermore, this project has the full support of the Lithuanian Government as it fits with several of the national priorities within the SMART Specialization Strategy.

In this project RISE Interactive role will be to lead the establishing the research and innovation topic related to user interfacing and interaction design approaches for Smart Environments based on IoT.

The project is funded under EU Horizon 2020 WIDESPREAD Teaming Phase 1 (as a coordination and support section as a part of spreading excellence and widening participation work program). The project is initially for one year with a possibility to extend for an additional 5 to 7 years)

RISE Interactive i Norrköping startar nu ett nytt projekt med fokus på Smarta Miljöer. Projektet samordnas med Kaunas University of Technology och övriga parter är Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, The State Enterprise Centre of Registers in Lithuania och Linköpings universitet. Vår roll blir att upprätta forskningsområdet relaterat till användargränssnitt och interaktionsdesign för Smarta Miljöer baserad på IoT. Detta projekt är finansierat av EU Horizon 2020 WIDESPREAD och projektet pågår initialt ett år - med möjlighet för fortsättning i ytterligare fem till sju år.
