Welcome Annelise!

7 June, 2010 - 10:50

Joining us in May, we're excited to have a Annelise de Jong as part of the Design Research Unit this year! As a guest researcher she'll be a great collaborator and resource through her work on sustainability issues for both living and working. We wish her a warm welcome and look forward to all the possibilities that this brings.

About Annelise de Jong

From October 2002, I have been an assistant professor in the Faculty of Industrial Design, Delft University of Technology, Dept. Applied Ergonomics in the usage research group. I received my PhD  after a research project at Delft University of Technology in collaboration with the Dutch research institute TNO Quality of Life on participatory innovation in the construction industry. My interests are in the area of usage research. I am teaching observational methods in combination with contextual analysis and how this can be presented to designers to start up, influence and inspire their work. Recently I've been working on the design and research methods to be applied within a European Living Lab to further sustainable design within homes.
