Interactive Institute takes part in Hour of Code

4 December, 2014 - 21:40

In an ever more digital world - where computers and digital techology surrounds us in our everyday lives, a basic understanding of programming becomes a great asset for anyone. Computer science is driving job growth and innovation throughout our economy and society. More than half of projected jobs in science and technology are in computing occupations. Despite this, computer science education is marginalized throughout our primary and secondary education system – denying access to this critical knowledge, particularly among underrepresented groups.

This is why Interactive Institute Swedish ICT takes part in The Hour of Code.

Interactive Institute Swedish ICT takes part in The Hour of Code as a way of raising interest for programming in education. We do this through workshops in Serbia together with The Swedish Institute and an awesome local team. We hold courses for teachers in Göteborg and Stockholm in Scratch, and we create learning materials for anyone to use within the area.

You too can also participate in an Hour of Code, taking place this december.
