112 million SEK to Smart Textiles!

Smart Textiles, an initiative at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås where Interactive Institute Design Research Unit is one of the partners, has received funding from VINNOVA for eight years. Smart Textiles gets 56 million SEK from VINNOVA and the same amount in matched funding from industry partners and other collaborators.The goal is to create an international leading textile center through close collaboration between The Swedish School of Textiles, the University College of Borås, Swerea-IVF, SP and the Interactive Institute. Other important partners are Västra Götalandsregionen, Stiftelsen Föreningssparbanken Sjuhärad, Teko (Sveriges textil- och modeföretag), Espira och Sjuhärads kommunalförbund together with industry.
