ENERGY+DESIGN Network

The ENERGY+DESIGN Network is run by the Interactive Institute DESIGN
Göteborg as a regional complement to the STATIC! project. The goal
is to bring together diverse stakeholders in design, technology and textiles
in the region of Västra Götaland to share knowledge and competence through a
series of seminars. Bridging energy and society through design and IT, this
network aims toward supporting new synergies between traditional and
emerging industrial sectors and offer opportunities for wide societal impact
through design means and outreach.

A series of seminars have been held this spring, where different perspectives on energy, design and sustainability have been presented, contributing to a regional discussion on how to support end-user energy awareness through product design. The speakers have come from fields such as textile industry, academia, fashion as well as industrial and service design. The seminars have been open to the public.
