THE VENUE
{Röda
Sten} is a cultural landmark that lies at the sea
entrance of the city. Once housing a huge industrial boiler, Röda
Sten is an exceptional center of the arts today.The goal of Project
Röda Sten is to develop the surrounding area into a Nordic
cultural center for art, theatre, music and dance and to hold international
exhibitions of the highest caliber. Inside Röda Sten, a dynamic
space offers opportunities to create works of large scale while
the outside of the building remains a free zone for the graffiti
artists of Göteborg. This unconventional exhibition space sets
the scene for daring, ground -breaking explorations to take place.

TRAVEL
To fly to Göteborg, the most common route is by Landvetter
Airpoirt which is serviced by most major airlines. Most major
European airlines have flights to Göteborg. Information about
the major airport, Landvetter and which companies fly there can
be found at Göteborg
Landvetter Airport. If you fly from outside Europe, you
will have to change flights somewhere. Copenhagen, Frankfurt,
Munich, London, Amsterdam, Stockholm and Paris are common places
to change at.
From Landvetter, the city center is a short bus ride with the
Flygbuss
{70 SEK} or taxi ride {300-400 SEK}
away. Local bus network to and from Gothenburg-Landvetter's airport
is also available. This service is run by Västtrafik.
Two new low budget airlines fly Stockholm - Göteborg. They
both use Arlanda Airport in Stockholm and Landvetter Airport in
Göteborg. {Fly
Nordic and Fly
Me}
Low-price flights are also available through Ryan Air to Säve Airport, which has a bus service
to central Göteborg.
By train, Göteborg is about 3-4 hours from Stockholm {Sweden},
Copenhagen {Denmark}
or Oslo {Norway}.
{Swedish
Railway}
In terms of ease and affordability, there are few modes of transportation
that match the bus. Sweden's buses are quiet and pretty comfortable.
They also offer a less expensive alternative between larger cities,
and many European capitals have bus routes into Sweden.
