Technology and computers are often considered time saving tools that
help us perform a certain task faster or more efficiently. But besides
saving time, these tools also create waiting time, as they help. In
Wait we explore the act of waiting and play/edit/modify it to identify
its characteristics. These characteristics are then used as parameters
in the design of new computational things. The focus on the act becomes
our method.
This project focusses on a study of a fundamental human behavior and
explores it's characteristics as new opportunities for design applications
embedded into daily life. The results of this study will act as inspiration
for future application development, particularly in the Party and Fabrication
projects.
