This will be a one-day workshop, to be held on Monday 4th April. The workshop will start offsite at the Urban Grind coffee shop in NE Portland, and will use the coffee shop as a focus for inspiration and design.
Transport (taxis) will be paid for. Lunch and coffee will also be provided (by Intel Research). The café itself is in a converted industrial space and is very large. They have a private meeting space, and the café itself has tables and chairs and sofas, and a stage. They also provide free WiFi access.

9:45 “Talk amongst yourselves” – a speed-dating conversation with every member of the group, discussing topics raised in the position papers submitted prior to the workshop (each topic will be pre-selected and displayed, updating at short intervals, when people find new partners).

11:30 Idea generation (in small groups) with workshop participants applying their ideas to Urban Grind – adapting them to the place, and to the community. Present ideas.
