Partners and Collaborators

Research partners: Nokia Research Center in Finland actively contributed to the Pirates! project and has funded and participated in parts of the Game Design Patterns project. SICS is a long-term friend and collaborator that has co-organized workshops with us and provided technical support for the myTHeme project.

In a Smart-Its related activity, the Disappearing Computer Initiative of the European Union, funded the Research Atelier for 'exploring fun and entertainment with ubiquitous computers'.

We exchange expertise with a number of companies: Jadestone, Jungle Peak Studios, Toylabs

Our extensive network include several informal contacts as well official commitments in research organizations: DiGRA (dissemination officer), Fosfor (initiator), IGDA's Ivory Tower (editorial team).

Our good friends include: Students at the IT-University in Göteborg, Sweden (Interaction Design), colleagues at the Dept. of Computing Science at Chalmers University of Technology in Göteborg, Sweden (Interaction Design), and Media Lab Europe in Dublin, Ireland (Story Networks Group).

Our research in the Ubiquitous Gaming theme influences the development of an Interactive Simulations specialization within the IT-engineer program at Chalmers University of Technology, as well as a M. Sc. level program at Göteborg University.
