DISSEMINATION

To us it is of course really important to put our thoughts test and to make reality of many of our ideas. PLAY in general has a demo-culture and we spend much time and effort on conceiving and designing functional prototypes and demonstrations. While we are often not aiming to perfect our ideas into products, we do like to aim for appealing designs that help us share and show our concepts in a hands-on fashion.

Being equally important as demonstrations, publications and presentations of our research results are given some priority. We are perhaps extra keen to be an active and successful contributor in the academic and scientific research community in this aspect, but are also aiming to be visible in popular and local media. Conferences that we aim for are for instance those that deal with human-computer interfaces issues, games research and development, interaction design, and ubiquitous/pervasive technologies.

As a studio in the Interactive Institute we are of course already part of a large network of researchers, some of which with we share our games research agenda. The games research community in Europe is really impressive and very influential to the generation of new forms of games and game play. Our network extends across our own borders as well as across the borders of Europe, and with an active collaboration with other games researchers we are aiming to make a lasting impression on the development and establishment of emerging theories and applications.
