PRESENTATION OF WORKS
Tina Finnäs is an artist living and working in Stockholm, Sweden. She works mainly with interactive media and installations. She has participated in many exhibitions in Sweden and abroad. Since 2006 she is one of the founders and project leaders of TICA- Tirana Institute of Contemporary Art in Albania. Tina is currently working as a project leader for the Art & Technology department at the Interactive Institute in Stockholm.
In her presentation during the Rag-Tag workshop, Tina presented several examples of her previous works. She talked about working with interactive installations in public spaces and how this differentiates compared with working within the traditional "white box" context.
Tina also talked about her work with TICA in Albania and the program and activity of the Art Center. She talked about the lacks of possibilitys for education within the Interactive Media field at the Academy in Tirana and about a workshop that she organized with Performing Pictures from Sweden in 2007. She also showed gleamses from a documentary made by the Finnish Swedish Television Company YLE about her work in Albania.
