Loove Broms
Interaction Designer / PhD Student
Loove is a design researcher and PhD student in interaction design. He started working with the Interactive Institute in 2004 and at Energy Design 2006. In 2012 he started full-time at KTH to complete his PhD. At Energy Design he has been working in projects like AWARE and Switch!, exploring how interaction design can be used as a tool to increase awareness of energy usage with the purpose to influence our energy habits.
He is one of the designers behind concepts like, for example, the Energy AWARE Clock and the AWARE Laundry Lamp shown at the Visual Voltage exhibition. He has also been working as a freelancing interaction designer doing projects like Colour by Numbers among others.
In his PhD work Loove is interested in how to create engagement and reflection around sustainability trough the design of artefacts and environments.
