Organizational chart

New organization in Kista from January 4, 2010

From January 4, 2010, the Interactive Institute Kista office will have a new and reduced organization. The combination of the financial climate in general and available funding for artistic research has forced the institute to take actions  in order to meet a balanced budget for 2010.

The Interactive Institute will continue its focus on Art, Design and ICT, but during 2010 the focus on art will be to mainly develop new strategies for artistic research within the institute and future funding models for this area. It is a challenge to secure funding for artistic research, but the Interactive Institute’s long term goal is to continue to reinvent and renew the field.

The research studios in Kista that will be closed down/downsized are: Art & Technology, Art Productions, Performing Pictures, Digital Cultural Heritage, and SoundSpace.

Ongoing projects in these studios will either continue within the Interactive Institute or be transferred to other research environments. For more information, please contact Christina von Dorrien, CEO, Interactive Institute.
