Reykjavik 871 +/-2
The exhibition Reykjavik 871±2, which is part of the Reykjavik City Museum, is based on the archaeological excavation of the ruin of one of the first houses in Iceland and findings from other excavations in the city centre. The exhibition is located in Reykjavik old centre, on the corner of Adalstraeti and Sudurgata.
Surtsey – Genesis
The exhibition Surtsey - Genesis, at the Culture House, traces the emergence and evolution of the island Surtsey up to the present day and predicts its geological and ecological development over the next 120 years. The latest multimedia techniques are applied to convey the invaluable findings of scientific research in Surtsey.
