Summary
eyeGuide is a multi-media visitor's information system that turns every visit to an exhibition or a museum into an exciting tour of discovery.
eyeGuide is based on PDAs with earphones and infra-red beacons, which control the automatic information display at the exhibits. Another important component of the system is the high-performance, purpose-designed software developed by Eyeled.
Apart from information via the earphones, eyeGuide additionally offers visitors texts, pictures, graphics and video sequences presented directly on the PDA display. It also allows the visitor to choose from various thematic focuses, depending on where ythe interests lie. What's more, with eyeGuide the museum can offer a wide variety of different tours geared to visitors' time budgets or for special groups of visitors such as children, schoolkids, art students etc.
