Virtual Autopsy Table featured in American TV documentary

CMIV (Center for Medical Imaging and Visualisation in Linköping) and Norrköping Visualization Center were visited by an American TV production team. The team is producing a documentary for the science show Nova that will feature the Virtual Autopsy table.

Nova is the highest rated popular science show in the U.S. and the show is highly respected for it’s high quality science content. It can be seen on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in the United States, and in more than 100 other countries. A Nova show has  5 Million viewers when broadcasted.

“Being featured by a show like Nova is a fantastic opportunity to communicate Swedish innovation to a large international audience”, says Thomas Rydell, director of the Interactive Institute C-studio.

The production will result in an one hour long documentary called "Forensics on Trial". The show explores the current state of forensic technology and the future of forensic science. The show will be broadcasted in the beginning of 2011.
