Third Workshop on Exploiting Semantic Annotations in Information Retrieval (ESAIR 2010)

The third workshop on Exploiting Semantic Annotations in Information Retrieval (ESAIR 2010) will take place this fall in Toronto, in conjunction with the 19th Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (CIKM) conference, co-chaired by Jussi Karlgren, SICS. Unleashing the potential of semantic annotations to information objects requires us to think outside the box.

 The workshop aims to bring together researchers from NLP, DB, IR, and KM, and work together on one of the greatest challenges in the years to come: that of combining user-contributed and analytic semantic annotations to a coherent and useful framework of deeper understanding of information objects and their use. Contributions for presentation should be submitted before June 30 as per instructions on the workshop page.
