'Switch!' website launched

More information about Switch!, a practice-based research program in the area of sustainable design, is now online! 

Switch! investigates design as an intervention into sites and situations of energy consumption. Focus is on the larger-scale and longer-term aspects of technical, material, and social systems — or ecologies — in everyday life. Through design methods and artifacts that disrupt existing (and intervene new) values into these systems, Switch! aims to influence the perceptions and practices of consumers and stakeholders. As a practice-based research program, Switch! has been carried out through collaborative development of design examples. The outcome of conceptual and practical inquiry is a series of critical interventions into sustainable design discourse and practice.
