Ingvar Sjöberg – Artistic Director at Millesgården

As part of the ongoing exhibition TÄND MÖRKRET! [BANISH THE DARKNESS!] at Millesgården in Stockholm 19 januari - 24 mars 2008

Ingvar Sjöberg is presenting the works Tolkare 1-6 that where exhibited 1985 at Galleri Oskar in Stockholm. The portraits that Ingvar has used in the works Tolkare 1-6 are taken from Herman Lundborgs popular scientist image gallery “Swedish Folktypes”. Lundborgs images where part of the basis that lead to the Swedish program for forced sterilizing.

In 1922 Herman Lundborg became professor and head of the governmental institute for racial biology in Sweden.
