Visual Dimension is a private company, active in both architecture and cultural heritage interpretation. The company was founded in 2003 by civil engineer Daniel Pletinckx and civil engineer architect Veerle Delange, based on the activities of Daniel Pletinckx and Veerle Delange as independent civil engineers.
Visual Dimension focuses on the use of ICT in cultural heritage and tourism, within the domain of museums, archaeological sites and monuments and landscapes. The company provides consulting, design and coordination services, and creates innovative ICT systems. Through more than ten years of experience, Visual Dimension has acquired in-depth knowhow in application domains such as 3D visualisation and 3D digitalisation of historical buildings, landscapes and objects, interactive storytelling, user interfaces for public systems and cultural routes.
The combination with architecture is in most cases very valuable as most systems are integrated into restored premises or sites that are protected by laws concerning built heritage.
Visual Dimension bvba has also a major involvement in European projects. The company coordinated the Integration Activities of the EPOCH project.
The company has its offices in Ename (a major cultural heritage site in Belgium), next to the famous Ottonian Saint Laurentius Church and the innovative pam Ename museum .
