The critical challenge of the new millennium is the balance between the creation of knowledge and the sharing of its power, and the humane and generous application of its resources and benefits. That essential task - the pursuit of knowledge and the promotion of its wise and benevolent application in the globalized societies of the new century - is the core and defining function of The Cyprus Institute (CI). An institution of higher learning aspiring to be designed ab initio matched to the opportunities and needs of the new era. The new institution will be:
