Dr. Rodriguez-Echavarria is a Research Fellow at the University of Brighton. She obtained her (BEng) Computer Systems Engineering degree from the ITESM, Mexico in 1999. She then completed her PhD at the University of Wolverhampton in the area of knowledge-based engineering in 2005 and an MA in Histories and Culture in 2008. Dr. Rodriguez-Echavarria worked for the European Network of Excellence EPOCH in the areas of technology development for CH applications, managing web resources, as well as collaborating in the Network of Centres of Expertise. Her research interest include the areas of new technology for capturing, storing and presenting tangible and intangible Cultural Heritage; the assembly and visualisation of real time interactive virtual environments, including their usability; as well as cluster-based graphics visualisation. Other interests are studying the cultural impact of the use of these technologies within museums and heritage sites.
