The Jerusalem 2006 Conference on the Digitisation of Cultural Heritage conference convenes in Jerusalem and hosts museum professionals, librarians, archivists, audio-visual developers, architects, lawyers, cultural policy makers, plastic and performing artists working in the digital realm. As in previous years, the conference's thematic panels and presentations focused on those areas that are of concern to the digital heritage community in Israel and the international community. This year the sessions included: UNESCO and the Digitisation of Cultural Heritage; Tagging and folksonomies; IPR Intellectual Property Rights and Cultural Heritage; Evolving technologies and ICT for the Performing Arts and Theater; Multilingualism; Long Term preservation in a Digital Age; Best Practice in the National Sound Archives; The Semantic Web Portal for European, Jewish Cultural heritage; Visualising the collection, visualising the gallery, visualising the museum; Digitisation in Architecture and Design.
