The service AHICE was created to provide easier access to information about events in the domain of art history in four Central European countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. However, the primary goal of AHICE is not to deliver a variety of information directly to the users, but to serve as a "sign-post" to the sources of information needed, i.e. to institutions with a museum, research, educational or publishing activity. The institutions registered with the service, enter information into its framework about their own activity. It means that the news published on the AHICE homepage comes directly from the sources, and can be updated any time.
