About Us

The Digital Cultural Heritage Centre of Expertise (DCH) originally came to life in 1999 as Visions for Museums, a research group within the Interactive Institute that focused on communication and visitor orientation within the museum environment.

Due to our committed participation in EPOCH's Network of Expertise Centres, Visions for Museums transformed into DCH and is now positioned as an expertise centre within the emerging digital cultural heritage domain.

Our mission:

To support sustainability of digital cultural heritage in Europe and Asia-Pacific by developing products and services that foster innovation.

Our objectives:

- Contribute to leading edge research in digital cultural heritage
- Foster innovation in museums and cultural heritage organisations
- Support teaching of art and culture in classrooms
- Develop regional expertise centres in digital cultural heritage
- Develop and expand NODEM, our Nordic conference for digital cultural heritage
- Continue to build partnerships in Europe and Asia-Pacific

Our website is being re-designed, please contact studio director Halina Gottlieb for additional information about our work.
